Patroclus, an awkward young prince, is exiled to the court of King Peleus and his perfect son Achilles. By all means, Achilles and his paths should have never crossed, but they meet. Achilles takes the shy and awkward boy under his wing. And soon they become very good friends. And slowly, their friendship blossoms into love. They both go to learn from Chiron, the centaur. But then word comes that, Helen of Sparta has been kidnapped. Torn between love and fear for his friend, Patroclus journeys with Achilles to Troy, little knowing that the years that follow will test everything they hold dear.

Why do we recommend this book?

I was very excited to know about Achilles’ story after reading Percy Jackson’s Greek Heroes as he is very famous in Greek mythology. And I was not at all disappointed by it. It was lovely following Achilles and Patroclus’s story. Especially during the time of war. I love this book so so much. I think that every mythology reader should read this. This book is just awesome.

Why do we recommend this book?

I think I liked Frankie from the book the most. She was stubborn, unapologetic, sassy, smart, hilarious, and had a no-nonsense personality. And don’t let me even start with the writing style. It was just so amazing!!
