You Book Review
You are an incredible book that combines all the necessary elements of a psychological thriller. It includes themes of crime and mental illness, like obsession and stalking. The narration is unreliable, which adds mystery and thrill to the plotline. The characters are cleverly composed by the author. However, each of them has its flaws and issues.
All the characters might seem perfectly normal on the surface, but deep down are conflicted by inner dilemmas. Joe is the narrator of the plot, but he is far from a hero. Beck seems to have it all together but is emotionally damaged. However, their flaws and challenges are depicted with such a realistic touch that some of us can even relate to those issues.
“Happiness is believing that you’re gonna be happy. It’s hope.”

The storyline sheds light on modern-life dating and its pros and cons. It highlights how people with cruel intentions use social networking sites for violent motives. The social media sites fuelled and led to all the crimes committed in the book.
This book had many twists and turns that other thrillers lack. The narration from Joe’s point of view may give a predictable vibe to the readers, but that’s far from reality. It serves mind-blowing surprises when one is least expecting. The plot line remains fresh due to this form of narration. The inner monologues of Joe are funny to read as it relaxes the tense reading environment.
“I don’t say anything. I know the power of silence. I remember my dad saying nothing, and I remember his silences more than I remember the things he said.”

The mysterious suspense in this book is remarkable. The author adds an element of sympathy to the evilest characters. Readers who are fans of cliff-hanging dark thrillers will enjoy this book. The pace of the story is adequate to hold the attention of readers. However, some scenes of the narration feel repetitive at times. Overall, it is a mind-blowing psychological thriller.
Conclusion
Rating: 5/5
Recommendation: This title is for those inclined towards nail-biting surprises with a strong cast of characters and an incredible writing style.
