Tristan and Cosima are absolutely adorable. The way their relationship unfolds is just perfect! The characters, even the minor ones, are so well-written and relatable. This made them more relatable and their actions and decisions even more understandable.
“Half the reason I’m choosing to spend Christmas alone is because I really don’t want to deal with the same concern you’re talking about. I don’t want people looking at me with sympathy-filled eyes over their glasses of eggnog, and I don’t want anybody to think I’m pretending to be okay when they see I’m fine.” She allowed her voice to soften. “Too fine, perhaps.”

Overall, I had a blast reading this book. I usually prefer shorter reads, and this novella hit the spot. It’s light-hearted, perfectly paced, and not cluttered with too many characters. Plus, Cosima and Tristan will stick with you long after you’ve turned the last page. The only tiny hiccup for me was that I’m not a huge fan of spicy scenes, but that’s just a personal preference. Nevertheless, it was a sweet, Christmassy, and heart-warming love story of Kismet.
