The Son of Sobek Book Review

I wanted to read more of Rick Riordan’s books. So, when I came across this book The Son of Sobek, I instantly picked it up after I saw that it was a crossover between Percy Jackson and Carter Kane.

This book is part of the series Percy Jackson and Carter Kane Crossover. Percy Jackson and Carter Kane Crossover Series is a trilogy, i.e., there are three books in this series. The first book in this series is The Son of Sobek, the second book is The Staff of Serapis, and the third one is The Crown of Ptolemy.

Even though The Son of Sobek is part of the series, it can be read as a standalone. You won’t feel the need to grab the next book in the series just because you were left with suspense. Though, the next part of the series is also awesome.

The title, The Son of Sobek, is very apt and relatable to the story. It tells us what the book is going to be about perfect. Also, the book cover is attractive and eye-catching.

And as always, Rick Riordan has done an amazing job of characterization. His characters feel like real people. They are very convincing and, it’s very easy to connect with them.

The narration of the book is also amazing. You feel like you need to know what happens in the end. And, then only you can keep it down. The story keeps your attention until the end and then also I was still thinking about it for a few days.

The pace of the book is also amazing. It is perfect. Neither too fast nor too slow! You won’t get bored nor will feel like you are left behind.

The plot of the book is also good. I liked it very much. It is very interesting and has just the right amount of suspense in it.

If you liked the series Percy Jackson and the Olympians, The Mortal Instruments, The Song of Achilles, or any other books like this then, you will like this book too.
