In this book, we follow Nora Stephens, who is obsessed with books. However, her whole life revolves around books. Nora is not a heroine in her actual life, but she is like one of her clients for whom she lands huge deals as a cutthroat literary agent and her beloved sister Libby. So when her sister begs for a sister’s trip, Nora agrees, and they decide to go to North Carolina in August. But instead of picnics in meadows or run-ins with a handsome country doctor or bulging-forearmed bartender, Nora keeps bumping into Charlie Lastra, a bookish brooding editor from back in the city. It would be a meet-cute if not because they’ve met many times, and it’s never been cute. But, as they both are thrown together, chaos is bound to happen.

Why do we recommend this book?

I loved this book. Moreover, like in Emily Henry’s other book, the characters were well-fetched and relatable. Reading the main character who loves books as much as you is always heartwarming. However, the hate-to-love trope was well done. Finally, the banter was spectacular, and it is one of the best books to get out of a reading slump.

Why do we recommend this book?

I had a great time with this book. V.E. Schwab does a great job portraying that the world is not white and black. There are shades of grey in it too.
